He is the founder of Forging Elite Fathers as well as the popular Instagram account @dadbodWOD which shares tips, advice, simple workouts as well as relatable and honest content which is appreciated in a world of fit-fluencers and supplement pushers. We have a great conversation about where Kevin started his journey, going form dad bod to fit dad, as well as how he got into coaching and helping other busy dads with Forging Elite Fathers. We also discuss some common struggles men have when trying to get control of their health and fitness like stress, the all in mentality, and using unnecessary amounts of time away from their family trying to make it happen. Today on Stay At Home Dads Podcast, I talk about my results from the assertive assessment I talked about last week. It was no surprise, I'm not very assertive! I continue talking about assertiveness when a prime moment came up for me exercise my assertive skills with one of the many contractors I've had at my house these last few weeks. After not being happy with his work, I took it upon myself to do what he should have done, and take care of the issue. This dawned the thought of how I tend to just do things myself when I feel like I can't rely on others and how this even spills over to our family and kids. Why do we do it? I talk about a current issue I'm having dealing with a copyright claim from a bogus company that's trying to take advantage of a flaw in youtube that hurts small creators like myself. I then get into recapping some things I talked about with my friend Tj last week. Today on Stay At Home Dads Podcast I start off with more complaining! I thought it was tough when my two girls had an E-day, well now they got sick and missed school for multiple days. Along with navigating that, I myself got sick! So I talk about things I personally do when I'm sick to bounce back as fast as I can. Today on Stay at Home Dads Podcast I talk about a lot of politics! Starting off with voting, the ways people vote, researching candidates, and how much of a pain in the ass it all really is. Yes I know it's our duty to do it but if your not just voting by reading a political sign or watching a candidates ad on tv then there is a lot more work that goes into researching every politician’s platform. The second political talking point I touch on is the Biden college reimbursement program. Yes, I know I am a little late to the party on this point but I think its worth talking about especially now that it's currently paused. I also talk about what got us in the mess in the first place, the outrageous cost of college and all that's associated with it, as well as what I think could be done or changed to make college easier to pay for and more accessible for students.
